McInnes welcomes plans for North East "Energy Corridor"

Aberdeenshire based Liberal Democrat MSP Alison McInnes has welcomed the 'Enegetica' plan for an "energy corridor" in North East Scotland.

The proposals, which are set out in a report by Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Forum (ACSEF), would see North East Scotland set to become a global energy hub.

"ACSEF are to be congratulated for developing such ambitious proposals. I will be writing to the Finance Secretary to ensure that these proposals feature in the national planning framework that is currently being developed. Recognising the national importance of this project would be a significant step forward in ensuring it becomes reality.

"Energetica would consolidate the North East's position as a global energy hub, making the most of the natural resources in this region."
