12.00.00am GMT Thu 24th Jan 2008

Alison McInnes this week praised the leadership of Troup House School in Gamrie after it received a glowing write up from the Inspector of Education.

The inspectors reserved particular praise for two key categories, describing the school as 'sector leading' in both Structure of the Curriculum, and Climate and Relationships.

Commenting McInnes said, "For a school which only began teaching in December 2006 this report is remarkable.

"It is testimony to the hard work of management, staff, and pupils at Troup House that their trailblazing performance has made its mark so quickly."
