They were accompanied by Prospective Scottish Parliamentary candidates Nora Radcliffe (Gordon) and Alison McInnes (North East Scotland) and Council candidate Isobel Davidson. The team spent time meeting with managers and clients at Ellon Can-Do and Benchmark. They heard of the difficulties of securing ongoing funding for the schemes which provide employment and life skills training for disabled people. Commenting after the visit Alison McInnes said "European funding and local enthusiasm have both been vital to the success of these 2 local projects. The current uncertainty about the new European Social Fund is unsettling for those involved."
