12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 21st Jun 2007

North East MSP Alison McInnes has congratulated Holy Family RC Primary School in Aberdeen on its recent HM Inspectorate of Education Report which said the school had made 'very good progress' with strong improvements in mathematics.

The follow through report released earlier this week was in relation to the schools original report back in 2005, with the inspector noting considerable improvements in school accommodation, playground equipment, and upgraded communications technology equipment.

Commenting Mrs McInnes said - "It was fantastic to read that Holy Family RC School had made such great progress. I have already passed on my personal congratulations to all members of staff. Holy Family School is currently working hard to achieve status as a Health Promoting School and to achieve an Eco School Scotland Award and I wish them all the best".
