McInnes Demands Answers for Commuters12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 13th Jul 2007 Responding to a statement from Scottish Ministers about the future of Scotland's rail network, Scottish Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes MSP has demanded clarification from the Executive about their commitment to several key public transport projects. Commenting, Mrs McInnes said: "I welcome this statement as evidence that the new Executive intends to see through some of the key transport projects introduced by previous Liberal Democrat Transport Ministers. "I have concerns, however, about the new three tier system for prioritising projects. I will be writing to the Cabinet Secretary for Finance to seek clarification of the Executive's intent with regards to projects such as the Aberdeen Cross Rail and the Borders Railway. "Commuters have a right to know when they can expect projects such as the Aberdeen Cross Rail and the Borders Railway to be open for business."
